If you haven’t booked a place in this Sundays Safe Handling of Solvent and Chemicals Workshop you still have time to do so, as the cut off date has been extended to Wednesday 21st of March. (Yes! That is tomorrow, if you are reading this tonight!)
If your work place has changed solvents since you last completed this course then it’s important to update your training and knowledge.
This includes all solvents perc, hydrocarbon, K4 and green earth and all spotting chemicals and laundry chemicals including bleaches, emergency procedures, spills, air monitoring, PPE and required record keeping.
With a gentle reminder that it’s your obligation and responsibility as an employer under the WorkCover Health and Safety Act, for the Duty of Care of all employees.

Safe Handling of Dry Cleaning Solvents
Compliance to the DIA Code of Practice for the safe handling of solvents
Safe handling and storage of Dry Cleaning and spotting chemicals
Chemical spill safety and Spill Kit requirement’s
Preventable maintenance
