Your Invitation to An Evening With DIA VIC

“DIA Victoria welcomes you and your partners/staff to the Christmas Function for 2015 to round off a very successful year for Members.” says President Matthew Hyde.

• Date:   Wednesday 18th November 2015
• Time:   From 6.15pm
• Location:  Kent Hotel,  370 Rathdowne Street,  Carlton
• Cost   $30 per person for food, drinks at bar prices.

This is a great opportunity to catch up pre-Christmas, chat with old and new friends and pick up some valuable business tips to help kick start your business in the New Year. A number of excellent functions have been held during the year and this will be no exception.

We have chosen the Kent Hotel because of the excellent facilities and function room. Cost is $30 per head, to cover food, with drinks at bar prices. And we have delayed the start time to allow members extra time to travel after closing their shop, but any time before 7.00pm is good.

Speakers include:

Peter Hudson – The top three things that I have learnt in 40+ years in Drycleaning.
Peter is a very successful businessman; operating multiple plants including servicing the Crown Casino,
Australian Drycleaner of the Year, President of DIA Victoria and President of International Drycleaning Congress (USA). Peter has extensive involvement within the community, and is currently venturing into the coffee business with brother Bill, with 70 employees.

Matt Hyde – How to replace a cooling tower, legally, without using a chiller.
Matt runs a cutting edge drycleaning operation and will discuss two effective cost saving initiatives for your plant;
a cooling tower replacement alternative, that is not a chiller and a device that converts condensate into hot water i.e. hot water at “no cost”

David Hudson – Update on the fire at ABC Drycleaners.
David will share the final results of the fire that destroyed ABC Drycleaners in April this year.  The outcome is an interesting result. He will share the two key points learnt from this disaster. (Handout supplied).

Brian Tonkin – Five things to consider when employing your best Customer Service person.
Brian will share ways to select and set up your CSR to get the best results, some of which you will not have considered (handout supplied).

Plus hear first hand the exciting program of events for DIA Victoria throughout 2016.  The success of events depends on your support, and the willingness of others to share information for your benefit.  Please make the time to come along, bring another member or non-member, learn and meet others who will become valuable contacts and future friends.
