Role: Laundry Services Manager

One of those divisions is our Commercial Laundry and right now we are looking for an energetic person with proven experience as a business manager & leader.
Reporting directly to the Group Operations Manager, your role will be to maintain the working relationships with our stakeholders by managing all processes related to the operations of the division in a way that ensures productivity & safety targets are met.
We are looking for a Manager who will ‘treat the business as their own’ and who understands that to succeed in the role you will need to rapidly develop a sound understanding of the operational demands of the division, including gaining and maintaining an active working knowledge of the factory processes, plant & equipment and customer demands of the division.
Some of the key performance requirements for the role are:
〈 Direct and coordinate business activities and measures to obtain optimum efficiencies and economy of operations and maximise profits;
〈 Develop and implement strategies and initiatives designed to optimise efficiencies and economy of operations and maximise profits;
〈 Undertake physical & manual handling activities throughout the division as required;
〈 Ensure equity and/or mutual agreement in rostering of yourself and staff for weekend and public holiday shifts;
〈 Manage supply agreements and maximise supplier relations;
〈 Project manage and support the installation of specialist laundry equipment;
〈 Develop, maintain and record routine maintenance program;
〈 Prepare and submit financial budgets for approval;
Whilst commercial laundry experience would be highly regarded and also recognised in salary negotiations, experience has shown us that great leadership qualities, transferable skills and an eagerness to learn would also enable success in the role.
The ideal candidate will also:
⎫ Be eligible to immediately work in Australia without sponsorship;
⎫ Have tertiary qualifications and/or industry experience relevant to the role;
⎫ Have experience working with plant & equipment in a factory environment;
⎫ Have demonstrated business acumen and sound financial skills;
⎫ Have experience in Lean Manufacturing principles;
⎫ Have a level of physical fitness that will allow you to undertake physical & manual handling activities throughout the division and a willingness to undertake such activities;
⎫ Demonstrated sound level of computer skills particularly in the Microsoft Office suite of programs (specifically Word, Excel & Outlook);
